Senior Governance, Risk and Compliance Analyst

As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the security and integrity of systems across the organisation. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity principles, significant experience with system accreditation processes, and expertise in conducting thorough risk assessments to enhance our overall security posture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the security and compliance of systems by developing and maintaining system accreditation documentation in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform rigorous risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities, assess potential impacts, and recommend effective mitigation strategies to address identified risks.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to integrate cybersecurity best practices into daily operations and align security initiatives with business objectives.
  • Monitor and prioritise cybersecurity tasks independently, consistently delivering high-quality results with minimal supervision.
  • Continuously enhance the organisation’s security posture by staying updated on emerging cybersecurity trends, evolving threats, and best practices.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • More than 5 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC).
  • Positive Vetting (PV) Security Clearance
  • Experience with industry-specific frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC.
  • Familiarity with incident response, threat management, and vulnerability assessment tools.
  • Proven expertise in developing system accreditation documentation and conducting comprehensive risk assessments.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical information and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders across different levels.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of thriving in dynamic environments.

SFIA level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 5.

Security Requirements: To be eligible, you must be an Australian Citizen and hold a minimum of Positive Vetting (PV) Security Clearance.
