Bluerydge Engages with Veterans at ADF Transition Seminar in Melbourne

Championing Veteran Career Transitions

Bluerydge had the privilege of attending the ADF Transition Seminar in Melbourne, an exclusive opportunity extended to us through the Veteran Employment Program. This event provided a vital platform for ADF members preparing for the transition to civilian careers, offering guidance, industry insights, and employer perspectives on post-service employment.

Our participation follows Bluerydge’s recognition as Outstanding Employer of the Year at the 2022 Prime Minister’s National Veterans’ Employment Awards. As a company deeply invested in hiring, mentoring, and supporting veterans, we were honored to share our experiences, offer career advice, and reinforce the message that a successful post-military career is within reach.

Providing Real-World Insights for ADF Members

Transitioning from the structured environment of Defence into civilian employment can be challenging. Many veterans possess strong leadership, risk management, and problem-solving skills, yet often struggle with translating their expertise into private-sector roles.

At the ADF Transition Seminar, Bluerydge provided:

  • Insights into career pathways in cybersecurity and technology.
  • Practical advice on adapting military skills to civilian industries.
  • Firsthand experiences from veterans who successfully transitioned into Bluerydge roles.

Our team reinforced the idea that Defence-acquired skills are highly valuable in industries like cybersecurity, risk management, and technical operations, and that companies like Bluerydge actively seek and support veterans entering the workforce.

Bluerydge’s Commitment to Veteran Employment

Bluerydge has long been a champion of veteran employment, with a significant portion of our workforce comprising former ADF personnel.

Our commitment includes:

  • Dedicated recruitment programs for veterans.
  • Workplace support for transitioning service members.
  • Ongoing mentorship and professional development.

Through our continued participation in veteran transition programs, Bluerydge is committed to helping service members build meaningful post-military careers while ensuring they receive the support, recognition, and respect they deserve.

Looking Ahead

Bluerydge is grateful for the opportunity to attend the ADF Transition Seminar and to engage with ADF members preparing for their next chapter. We look forward to supporting more veteran employment initiatives and reinforcing our mission to help Defence personnel transition smoothly into civilian careers.

A sincere thank you to the Veteran Employment Program for the invitation, and to all the ADF members who took the time to connect with us. We look forward to continuing our work in veteran hiring, training, and career development.
